As principal of her consulting firm, CareerSmarts, Sue has been instrumental in guiding educators in creating dynamic career and work-based learning programs. She is passionate about College and Career Readiness, 21st Century Skills, online education, career development, employability credentials, virtual internships and creating partnerships between industry and education. Sue serves a consultant for many NYS school districts, the NYS Education Department, and the Department of Labor; an online instructor for Buffalo State College and Hofstra University for the Work-based Learning certification courses. She authored Games2Careers and The XtremeIntern: A virtual career adventure. www.xtremeintern.com Sue served as the School-Industry Coordinator for Smithtown Schools, 1966 – 2004. Her current connections to industry and education include: a member of the Board of Directors for the Hauppauge Industrial Association LI; workforce Readiness Co-Chair for the Society for Human Resource Management on LI; and active leadership roles for the Work Experience Coordinator's Association, LI Business Teachers Association.
