Karen Buechner, M.Ed., M.A., has been teaching ELA for 25 years and has taught all levels from grades 7 through 12. She is an adjunct instructor at Molloy College and has taught in the Program of Writing and Rhetoric at SUNY Stony Brook. Ms. Buechner’s areas of expertise include literacy education, student-centered learning, and dialogic methods. She has presented professional workshops on secondary literacy throughout Long Island and NYC and is a fellow of the Long Island Writing Project. Ms. Buechner has also been the recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship to India where she studied language and culture.
