Dr. Richard Bernato has served in a number of administrative positions that include assistant superintendent for educational instruction. He is presently an Associate professor of Educational Leadership, Administration, and Technology for the doctorate in education and professional certificate programs at St. John's University. He has published book chapters and articles related to educational decision making, strategic planning, social media in educational planning, and curriculum design and is presently the author of educational blogs about systems thinking, edu-futures, simulation design, and high involvement strategies for educational change initiatives. His book, Futures-Based Change Leadership; a Formula for Sustained Change Capacity is available through Amazon and Rowman and Littlefield, publisher. Dr. Bernato has conducted workshops, trainings, and in-service workshops to districts in the tri-state area in curriculum, leadership, shared planning and strategic decision-making. In addition, Dr. Bernato is able to assist school districts formulate action plans for, communicate the expectations of, and implement APPR requirements; including assisting districts to create locally developed assessment strategies.
