Teacher Integration Specialist (Anticipated) FT - Multiple Positions

NYS Teaching Certification (Permanent or Professional) or
Educational Technology Specialist Initial or Professional Certificate required
Master’s Degree required
3+ years classroom teaching experience preferred

Be a change agent: a Teacher Integration Specialist models and facilitates appropriate use of educational technology by assisting district staff in developing lesson/curriculum utilizing technology that improves teaching and learning.
Collaborates with district leadership to help shape a vision for technology integration by identifying, evaluating, and recommending current and emerging technology initiatives that improve education.
Proficient in the latest educational technology hardware and software, (Microsoft, Google, Nearpod, Flipgrid, Coding software, robotics, AR & VR, Macs, PC’s, Chromebook, tablets, etc.). Strong ability to integrate these or equivalent technologies successfully into curriculum and instruction in order to transform students’ learning. Ability to continually learn new technologies as they become available.
Demonstrated ability to implement technology-based grade level projects in grades K-12.
Be able to identify appropriate educational technology for all content areas in order to provide personalized learning for all including classrooms with special education students and English Language Learners.
Knowledge of the ISTE and NYS Learning Standards in order to align technology infused lessons to student’s objectives and outcomes.
Knowledge and experience utilizing the SAMR, TPACK, TIM, or equivalent models to help assist teachers as they work together to integrate instructional technology to transform learning.
Strong presentation and communication skills for a variety of audiences such as: teachers, students, administrators and Board of Education members.
Ability to establish strong relationships with teachers/administrators throughout the district.
Be familiar with federal, state and local laws (CIPA, COPPA, FERPA, DASA, Ed Law 2d) to safeguard student data privacy and security when using technology in the classroom and prohibit discrimination and harassment. Be able to provide Internet Safety Instruction to all students.
