Nick DeBlanco couldn’t be more proud. Just look at this group of 22 students who have earned their OSHA Certification in DeBlanco’s HVAC class at the Academy at Milliken Tech. OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is a regulatory agency of the U.S. Department of Labor. These students have passed the 30-hour training course, which provides safety practice, skills, and procedures. The certification is required among New York State employees of construction and technology installation companies, possibly providing our students with an advantage over the competition when they enter the job market after graduation.

The Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, referred to as the Academy, is the Career and Technical Education Program of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and has locations in Bellport, Oakdale, and Riverhead. Milliken Tech is located on the Oakdale campus.
