Students in Chef Graf’s Food Prep class at Bixhorn Tech put their cake decorating skills to the test in the ProStart First Annual Skills Challenge, a series of interactive mini competitions focusing on core culinary skills and hospitality management concepts. There were two winners from Chef Graf’s class in the cake decorating challenge, and they both adopted a unicorn theme. Congratulations to first place winner Fayshana, Brentwood UFSD, and third place winner Max, Rocky Point UFSD!
The Food Prep class at Bixhorn Tech is an Eastern Suffolk BOCES special career education program, which provides skills training to students with special education needs. This training may enable them to obtain entry-level employment in certain industries.
