The Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology congratulates all of the second year students in Adam Koral’s Computer Technology & Repair class. Each of them has earned their OSHA 30 certification. OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) is a regulatory agency of the U.S. Department of Labor. These students have passed the 30-hour training course, which provides safety practice, skills, and procedures. The certification is required among New York State employees of construction and technology installation companies, possibly providing our students with an advantage over the competition when they enter the job market after graduation.

The Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, referred to as the Academy, is the Career and Technical Education Program of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and has locations in Bellport, Oakdale, and Riverhead. Bixhorn Tech is located on the Bellport campus.
