The Professional Photography students in Liz Grafer’s class at Bixhorn Tech have been learning how to freeze motion using the camera’s shutter speed and external speedlights. Through tedious trial and error and some very tricky set-up, student Alexander Garcia, Comsewogue UFSD, worked tirelessly to capture drops of water as they collided. Above are the spectacular images he created.

The Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, referred to as the Academy, is the Career and Technical Education Program of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and has locations in Bellport, Oakdale, and Riverhead. Bixhorn Tech is located on the Bellport campus.
