Culinary Students Flex their Creative Muscles with Plated Desserts

Academy Students Use Identical Ingredients Multiple Ways

Delicious and attractive. That describes the inspirational designs the Culinary Arts students in Matt Kozak’s class at Milliken Tech produced when studying plated desserts. Students employed such techniques as color, sauces, crunchy cookies, and spun sugar to take their dessert assignments to the next level.

The Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology, referred to as the Academy, is the Career and Technical Education Program of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and has locations in Bellport, Oakdale, and Riverhead. Milliken Tech is located on the Oakdale campus.
