Many students from the Eastern Long Island Academy of Applied Technology received top honors at this year’s Long Island Media Arts Show held at the Five Towns College campus in Dix Hills. The Academy is the Career and Technical Education Program of Eastern Suffolk BOCES and has schools in Oakdale, Bellport, and Riverhead.

Over 12 students received top honors for their work, including seven students in the photography category, and five in the videography section. The LI Media Arts Show is open to teachers and educators across Long Island who wish to provide their most dedicated high school Media Arts Students with the opportunity to share their work with the public. The show not only provides exposure for the students but a forum where they can get feedback from media professionals that can help them adapt their skills. The show has been produced by the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Arts-in-Education Department, a program that assists schools in integrating the arts into their curriculum, for the past 29 years.
