Biology
Explore the structure, function, diversity, and evolution of living matter by taking an in-depth look at the fundamental characteristics of living organisms. You will have the opportunity to perform hands-on lab activities and develop relationships through collaborative learning.

Health Opportunities through Physical Education (HOPE)

Students, with the guidance of a training instructor, set personal goals in four areas of wellness: physical, emotional, social, and academic. Fitness assessments enable students to establish baseline levels of fitness and work toward improvement in specific areas. At the end of each module, students submit a wellness plan documenting their daily physical activity, progress toward goals, changes in fitness assessment results, and reflections on personal progress.

High School English I

Develop language arts skills by reading, writing, listening, viewing, and speaking. You will learn to use the English language to successfully express yourself

High School English II

In English II, you will encounter new vocabulary, refine the grammar and mechanics of your writing, and engage in thought-provoking projects. Throughout the course, you will discover how the human experience is the foundation of the best stories, plays, poems, films, and articles.

High School English III

Acquire the language, reading, writing, and speaking/listening skills necessary for success in college, career, and beyond. Become a critical reader and thinker as you dive deeply into the texts presented throughout this course. You will learn how to effectively research and integrate your findings, as well as citing your sources.

High School English IV

Choose pieces of literature that interest you; then analyze the subject matter and persuasively express your own ideas.

Fitness Lifestyle Design

Students spend quality time at Club Web and learn healthy habits for body and mind to lead to a healthier lifestyle. Students assess their beginning fitness levels and nutritional knowledge, then create individual plans for achieving personalized goals.

Personal Fitness

Get started on your path to lifelong fitness by setting goals and working toward them. Along the way, you’ll perform daily physical activity, design a fitness plan, and keep track of your progress using an interactive wellness plan. This course requires the purchase of a MOV band device that will calculate your total movements each day, helping you stay on track

Spanish I

Learn basic Spanish grammar to help build your fluency and understanding, and apply what you learn through interactive games, written practice, listening, and speaking exercises.

Spanish II

Strengthen your Spanish listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while experiencing the beauty and expressiveness of a language that is shared by different people and cultures throughout the world.

US History

Investigate the people, events, and ideas that have shaped the United States from the end of the Civil War through today while applying what you learn to real-world problems

World History

Join Ali and Soo-jin, our modern time travelers, as they journey through history. Discover the connections between world events and eras, from the Roman Empire through the Industrial Revolution, and explore development in our modern world, as well as the implications that historical events have on us today.

AP Art History

Within AP Art History, students will explore the interconnections between art, culture, and historical context through the critical lenses of artistic expression, cultural awareness, and purpose. This course meets a performing/fine arts requirement for high school graduation. To help allow for course completion prior to the AP exams in May

Develop the skills required to write programs or parts of programs to correctly solve specific problems. You will learn design techniques to make programs understandable, adaptable, and reusable. This course provides elective credit only. While registration is open year-round, we recommend that you register between April 15 and November 15 so you can complete the course prior to the AP exam in May.

AP Psychology

Immerse yourself in modern psychological techniques investigating the ethics and morality of human and animal research. In this college-level course, you will learn the psychological facts, principles, and phenomena associated with each major area of psychology and enhance your scientific critical thinking skills. This course provides elective credit only. While registration is open year-round, we recommend that you register between April 15 and November 15 so you can complete the course prior to the AP exam in May.

AP French Language and Culture

The course teaches language structures in context and focuses on the development of fluency to convey meaning. Students explore culture in both contemporary and historical contexts to develop an awareness and appreciation of cultural products, practices, and perspectives.
