Blended Courses & Content

Blended Courses and Content for Students

These courses reside in the Nassau BOCES Center for Online Learning's (COL) learning management system, allowing direct student and teacher access 24/7/365. A district must belong to the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Virtual Learning service in order to access COL content. This subscription entitles districts full access to COL offerings.

It is recommended that teachers hold a current Buzz Teacher License ($94/year) to facilitate these courses. This license provides access to the Buzz Learning platform through which students participate. There are no additional fees for students. Said license also allows teachers to facilitate additional courses with all students (even those not enrolled in the original course) at no extra cost. Teachers already possessing a Buzz license for the current school year do not need to purchase an additional license.

First-time users of the Buzz Learning Management System will participate in a 3-day blended training ($350) to familiarize them with accessing, editing/enhancing and delivering content.
