Technology Acquisition Services

Technology Acquisition Services allows districts the opportunity to acquire hardware, software, services, network components, and installation services to support their instructional and administrative needs through various options.

Projects considered one-time acquisitions occur in the current school year.

Multi-year financed projects are paid for over multiple years with associated interest rates.  These board approved projects allow districts to allocate costs over three to five years to help contain district expenses, are financed directly through Eastern Suffolk BOCES, and require State Education Department approval.

Technology Acquisition Services also offers opportunities for the acquisition of networked copiers and corresponding software and services to support instructional and administrative activities.

Copier acquisitions made by your district may be paid for over multiple years as a multi-year, non-financed project.  These board approved acquisitions allow districts to budget for specific monthly expenses.

There is an associated project coordination fee for all acquisitions and services; multi-year financed project fees and multi-year copier project fees are based upon a sliding scale of total budget for each project.

Instructional Technology Acquisitions require staff development through participation in Model Schools; there is an additional 15% professional development fee for Model Schools (Co-Ser 532) on all hardware and software acquired under this activity code.

Contact Technology Acquisition Services for an in-depth explanation of specifics related to these services.
