Technology Asset Inventory Service
The Cybersecurity and Governance Program at the Suffolk RIC is introducing a specialized IT Asset Inventory and Cybersecurity Service for school districts during the 2026/2027 academic year.
Utilizing the Armis Unified Visibility platform, this initiative provides schools with a comprehensive, live overview of all hardware and software connected to their networks, including unmanaged IoT devices like security cameras and HVAC systems. The service features daily monitoring by technical experts to ensure operational health and rapid responses to potential digital threats.
By implementing these robust security controls, districts can better align with NIST compliance standards and potentially lower their cyber security premiums. Participation costs are structured annually based on student enrollment numbers, ensuring a scalable solution for various district sizes. Ultimately, this program aims to bridge critical security gaps while requiring minimal administrative effort from local staff.
