District DPO Support Service

The Cybersecurity and Governance Program at the Suffolk RIC offers a comprehensive District Data Protection Officer (DPO) Support Service to assist schools with legal compliance and cybersecurity. This program provides dedicated, one-on-one guidance to help the DPO and administrators navigate the complexities of New York State Education Law 2-d through both remote and in-person consultations.

Participants receive access to specialized compliance platforms like Axio360 to track NIST Cybersecurity Framework alignment, and A4L/SDPC to manage third-party contracts. Additionally, the service facilitates employee training and the development of essential protocols for data privacy and incident reporting. Enrollment in this service also includes bi-annual vulnerability scanning and comprehensive website analysis for Ed Law 2d compliance.

Costs for the program are structured based on district enrollment size, ensuring that organizations of all scales can secure their sensitive student and staff information.
