Regional Certification Office

The Eastern Suffolk BOCES Regional Certification Office functions as an extension of the New York State Education Department Office of Teaching Initiatives.  The State Education Department has authorized this office to evaluate the credentials of applicants and recommend certification for most New York State certificate titles.  Individuals who live or work in one of Eastern Suffolk BOCES' 51 component school districts can contact this office with all certification-related inquiries.

We are pleased to assist individuals with their certification questions; however, please remember that your certification is your responsibility.  Be sure to know when your current certificate expires and what is required to achieve and maintain the next level of certification.  Your employment depends on it.
