Student Support & Wellness
JUUL Resource Center
Eastern Suffolk BOCES is proud to announce the expansion of youth vaping prevention and education efforts through funding made available under New York State’s settlement with JUUL Labs, Inc. In 2023, the New York State Attorney General secured more than $112.7 million from JUUL to support statewide initiatives aimed at reducing e-cigarette use among young people and addressing the public health impact of vaping.
As part of this statewide allocation, Eastern Suffolk BOCES has received funding to strengthen programs that discourage vaping among youth, provide support for students seeking to quit nicotine products, and enhance prevention education in schools.
Eastern Suffolk BOCES remains dedicated to supporting the health, safety, and well-being of students throughout the region. Through these enhanced prevention efforts, we aim to reduce youth vaping, increase awareness of associated health risks, and foster healthier school communities for all learners.
