Regents Exam Scoring
School Data Bank Services – Assessment Services is pleased to offer districts the opportunity to participate in a new pilot for the June 2026 Regents examination administration. Through this pilot, Eastern Suffolk BOCES will coordinate the scoring of constructed-response questions and essays using an established vendor, Optimum Solutions Corporation (OSC World). This optional, BOCES-facilitated service is designed to reduce the operational demands of Regents scoring while maintaining quality, consistency, and security. OSC can also scan your students' answer sheets as part of the pilot, upon request.
Participating districts will benefit from:
- Reduced local burden, eliminating the need to staff, train, and manage scoring
- BOCES Aid eligibility, lowering overall cost
- Experienced, certified NYS educators scoring all responses
- Secure, standardized processes aligned with assessment expectations
Districts participating in the pilot will submit student materials to ESBOCES for vendor scoring. Additional details, including timelines and participation steps, are outlined below.
