15 Hour Professional Development* Course - Hybrid (In-person & Synchronous)

Participants must register on Frontline Education.
*Please check with your district prior to enrolling regarding the granting of in-service credit for LISEA courses.
LISEA Hybrid Courses:
- Course offerings are aligned with both the district’s professional development needs as well as with teacher’s interest at the forefront.
- Teachers will sign-up for a specific Cohort class sessions (5 of them) with designated days and time to participate. The first session with meet in-person at Stony Brook University. The online portion of the remaining four sessions will provide participants with maximum family and work flexibility and allow for successful management in all these areas of life while achieving meaningful professional development.
- Project/assignment deadlines will be established for all participants and discussed throughout the Cohort sessions.
LISEA Asynchronous Courses:
- Course offerings are aligned with both the district's professional development needs as well as with teacher's interest at the forefront
- The asynchronous course(s) will run throughout a designated period of time that is listed in Frontline
- Project/assignment deadlines will be established for all participants and discussed throughout the Cohort sessions
LISEA Highlights:
- LISEA has highly regarded instructors who are well-versed in providing both innovative technology strategies to promote educators the opportunity to engage their diverse student populations in meaningful and authentic learning experiences.
- Has devised a Cohort approach to their 15 hours courses (5 sessions in total for a hybrid course) that allows participants the ability to meet and learn in a hybrid setting or a synchronous setting to maximize time on task and the flexibility engage in continued professional development throughout the year.
