Long Island Learning Institute for Educators (LILIE) - Online
The Long Island Learning Institute for Educators is an organization that was founded by practicing teachers who face the same 21st century challenges as those who enroll in their courses. LILIE was formed to be an educator’s tool to meet the challenges of ensuring student success.
LILIE online courses are designed to complement professional development plans, and district strategic plans, as well as address current educational issues. They pride themselves in providing meaningful courses that are realistically applicable and beneficial in the classroom. It is their goal that each teacher who participates in their classes, exits with practical knowledge, meaningful teaching insights and/or teaching methods that can be successfully applied to the classroom.
Through a partnership with Model Schools, LILIE courses are being offered through Eastern Suffolk BOCES. Each online, asynchronous course runs for one month and new courses are offered monthly.
Most courses begin at midnight on the 1st of the month and run until midnight on the 28th of the month.
Please consult your own district and professional development policies regarding courses and options.
If you require curriculum for approval or review, email LILIE at questions@lilieonline.com.
