Long Island Prevention and Resilience Enrichment Program (L.I. PREP) - Online

L.I. PREP is an online platform offering educators, administrators, parents and students highly effective professional development in evidence-based practices for Social and Emotional Learning, Mental Wellness, and Resistance to Substance Abuse.

Participants in this professional development will understand the importance of using evidence-based in the successful implementation of social and emotional learning (SEL) and mental health standards as part of a comprehensive approach within a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) model.  Professional development is designed to expand educators' content knowledge and the knowledge and skills necessary to provide appropriate instructional strategies and assess student progress.

  • Expand Your Tool Chest! Access courses that focus on the latest research, strategies, and best practices in social and emotional learning, mental health awareness, and drug abuse prevention including practical tools and resources that educators, parents and professional can use in their daily work, such as lessons, assessment tools, and intervention strategies.
  • Personalize Your Experience! Choose courses that are most relevant to your specific needs and interests.  This customization allows for a tailored learning experience to acquire the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to support the mental well-being of students, individuals and communities.

L.I. PREP online courses are designed to complement professional learning plans, and district strategic plans, as well as address current educational issues.  They pride themselves in providing meaningful courses are realistically applicable and beneficial in the classroom.

Through a partnership with Model Schools, L.I. PREP online courses are being offered through Eastern Suffolk BOCES.  Each online, asynchronous course runs by Cohorts for approximately one to two months.  Please note below the following Cohort timelines for the upcoming year:

  • Cohort 1: September 23 through November 17
  • Cohort 2: November 18 through January 12
  • Cohort 3: January 13 through March 9
  • Cohort 4: March 10 through May 4
  • Cohort 5: May 5 through June 29

Withdrawal & Refund Policy

Payment must be made prior to the course start date. Participants may drop a course prior to the start date through Frontline or by written request.  Refunds will be issued up until 3 days prior to that specific Cohort ending.  (Please note the Cohort dates listed above).
