Fashion Students Host 'Welcome Back Flash Sale'

Fashion, Merchandising & Design students in Amelia Berry’s class at Bixhorn Tech hosted a “Welcome Back Flash Sale” in which gently used clothing items appropriate for high school/college students were sold at very affordable prices to fellow Bixhorn students.

The fashion students, fully responsible for the store’s inventory, managing, merchandising, and customer service, sorted through all donated clothes and determined which would go in the thrift store. Clothes not chosen for the sale were sent to Savers or Lighthouse Mission.

In total, the thrift store gave away 190 pieces of clothing and accessories the day of its sale. Clothing donations continue to roll in throughout the school year from community members, ESBOCES employees, students, and even television studios.
