ESBOCES Launches Two New In-District Programs
ESBOCES, in partnership with Southampton UFSD, is proud to announce the opening of a Clinical Medical Assisting Program located in Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. Students will use one of the facility’s classrooms and will have direct access to the hospital’s outpatient center in Hampton Bays to participate in required clinical rotations. The half-day morning program is open to juniors and seniors and eliminates the need for Southampton students to travel west to other agency locations for instruction.
ESBOCES is also pleased to announce, in partnership with Mattituck-Cutchogue UFSD, the launch of a new Residential Carpentry Program located in Mattituck High School. Students who live in and around the North Fork and are interested in carpentry will now be provided easier access to hands-on skill development and technical training. The partnership will also open the door for participants to fill the constant need of local North Fork businesses which are in search of skilled carpenters. The half-day afternoon program is open to juniors and seniors.
