Arrive Alive at IAC
Students at Islip Academic received firsthand experience about the realities of distracted and impaired driving. The Arrive Alive organization visited the school and used virtual reality headsets and other technology to educate students by simulating the consequences of driving under these conditions. Students experienced a lack of awareness, delayed response time, and poor judgment, while the results of their simulated drives were displayed on a monitor.
