Tower Garden

Tower Garden

A Tower Garden is a vertical growing system that uses hydroponics, which means it grows plants without soil. Instead of traditional soil, Tower Gardens use a nutrient-rich water solution to feed plants, allowing for faster growth and healthier produce. This innovative system is designed to maximize space, making it perfect for urban environments where gardening space is limited. Plants are arranged in a vertical tower, which not only saves space but also makes it easier to care for them. The Tower Garden promotes sustainability by using less water than traditional gardening methods and allowing anyone, even those with limited gardening experience, to grow fresh fruits and vegetables year-round.

Classroom teacher, Hannah Jahrsdoerfer has a Tower Garden located in her classroom in which she grows lettuce with her class. Kim Lazaro's (TSP culinary teacher) class visited Hannah's class on Thursday to pick the lettuce from the tower garden to make salad to serve to staff on Friday.
