Bucket Filler Activity

Mrs. Gail's class listened to the story ‘How Full is Your Bucket? By Tom Rath and Mary Reckmeyer.

They completed questions on a Nearpod about the story and learned how you can fill someone's invisible bucket by saying kind words or by doing kind actions. You can either be a bucket dipper where you are hurting others' feelings, or you can be a bucket filler and build someone up. This story teaches about diversity and inclusion as well. It taught students that you should be kind to everyone and include everyone, no matter what their differences may be. The class concluded the lesson by working on a compare and contrast collage (Bucket Filler vs. Bucket Dipper). Students carried out the lesson by saying and doing nice things to peers and staff.
