World Down Syndrome Day
Students and staff honored World Down Syndrome Day with funny and/or mismatched socks! Mismatched socks are worn to echo the way chromosomes resemble them. Throughout the day, students participated in classroom lessons designed to raise awareness and listened to the story "Simon Sock" by Paul Linnet and Sue Hendra during Library class. Students and staff had a wonderful time comparing socks throughout the day!
