Rainforest Safari with Sequoya Pals!

With the help from Sequoya Pals, students engaged in a multisensory rainforest experience where they participated in a variety of interactive activities to learn about the different animals of the rainforest. Activities included adapted bowling, shape matching accompanied by an adaptive switch with corresponding animals sounds, sensory bins, an active volcano experiment and a jeep safari photo booth. Students were also given the opportunity to create their own shaved ice by use of an adaptive blender with a switch. All stations were ran by Sequoya pals who did a wonderful job interacting with and helping students participate. Additionally, it should be noted that in the weeks leading up to the event, Samoset students helped create all decorations seen in the photos to create this real life experience!
