New Sensory Playground at Samoset

Student’s at BLC @ Samoset are enjoying their new sensory playground that was installed just in time for the fall! This sensory playground is an outdoor space which presents students with various equipment and activities designed to stimulate sound, sight, touch and movement. Some of the student’s favorites are the musical instruments such as the large colossus chimes, bells and hand drums. Students also enjoy the steering wheel where the can choose from various transportation methods (train, boat, spaceship) and are provided auditory feedback corresponding to the chosen item. Other students love engaging in a game of tic-tac-toe or race cars where they can move different knobs and are provided auditory and visual feedback! This playground supports development of students cognitive, language, social, physical and creative skills! Enjoy that playground and keep those smiles going, BLC @ Samoset students!
