2025 Special Olympics
Students participated in various activities at this years special Olympics! The Olympic games began with classes marching out to the gym where BLC @ Samoset graduates led the National Anthem and Olympic Oath. The games this year were particularly special as they were adapted by students from Milliken Technical Center (MTC) Electrical Trade and Alternative Energy and HVAC programs. These activities included an adapted football launcher, "Red Light, Green Light" stop light, volleyball game/leaf blower set station and velcro bullseye all ran by switch activation. Additional activities included adapted soccer and a bubble station. Each station was led by students from the MTC programs and provided wonderful collaboration and interaction between MTC and Samoset students. We can't wait to continue this collaboration and see what is in store for next year!
