Cultural Awareness Day at BAC

Cultural Awareness Day was celebrated at BAC on November 18th.   All classrooms decorated their bulletin boards with pictures and facts about their assigned country.  Students were given time to view the boards and answer trivia questions.  A world map was displayed and all students put various colored stickers on their family's countries of origin. This was done to provide a visual display of the diversity and multiculturalism of our school community. 

During each period some fun cultural facts were announced over the PA system. Music from many countires around the world was played during all lunch periods.  Students' cultural art projects were displayed in the lobby.  Finally, as a special treat everyone was given candy from Italy, Mexico, and Asia.  It was an enriching day of learning and highlighted the unique contributions of all cultures and  celebrated our unity as one community!
