In the event of inclement weather or an emergency closing, announcements regarding Eastern Suffolk BOCES closings or delays will be available at the following sources:

• ESBOCES website (www.esboces.org)
• ESBOCES Facebook and Instagram accounts 
• Channel 12 News Long Island
• ESBOCES telephone line, which can be accessed by calling (631) 244-4002
• For Academy staff, students, and families, announcements can also be found at www.academyli.org or Academy Facebook and Instagram.  Please follow these procedures for Career and Technical Education and Special Career Education.  (En español)

For Professional Development Workshops and Conferences at an ESBOCES location: 

• If ESBOCES is open, all events will proceed as scheduled. 
• If ESBOCES is closed, all events will be cancelled. 
• If ESBOCES has a delayed opening, all events will be delayed for the same amount of time. 
  • For example, if there is a 2-hour delayed opening, an event scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. will begin at 10:30 a.m.
  • There will likely be a shortened and work-through lunch/break period

Note: If the school district where you work is closed or delayed and ESBOCES is not, please follow the procedure for your school district.
