Overview
Model Schools Educational Technology Coach (ETC) are NYS certified teachers who are experts in the use of various technologies to support teaching and learning. ETC can provide in-district traditional and virtual workshops for faculty and staff. In addition, participating districts can attend Model Schools Regional workshops free of charge. They specialize in providing customized professional development either in workshops or job-embedded format as well as instructional technology support to the administrative team.

- Devices including iPads, Chromebooks & Surface Tablets
- Interactive Whiteboards
- Virtual field trips with Google Expeditions
- Microsoft Office products, including Office 365
- Google’s G Suite for Education
- Internet Safety (DASA)
- Coding and Robotics in the Classroom
- Learning Management Systems
- Websites & blogs
- Emerging technology such as 3D Printing, Spheros, Ozobots, & Makey Makey
- Storytelling & video editing with green screen technology
- Assistive technologies
- Pilot the latest technology trends in a classroom
- Try web-based tools such as:

- Nearpod
- StoryboardThat

- Buncee
- Provide support when planning and implementing the district’s technology plan.
Work Day
ETC can provide support for a full day or a half-day. A full day is up to 8 hours including lunch and appropriate breaks. A half-day is up to 3.50 hours. If an ETC is split between schools within a district, please allow appropriate travel, break, and setup time.
