Model Schools Program Presents the 12th Annual Celebration of Technology in
Education District Information

Imagine an aircraft hanger packed with approximately 150 wireless-enabled PCs and MACs connected to the Internet, interactive whiteboards, and student response systems. Technologically inspired teachers and students are showcasing projects using these laptops, interactive whiteboards, student response systems, and other instructional technologies. Visit with them and they will engage you in interesting conversations about their work process and products. This year our Vendor Sponsors will provide learning enhanced technology product literature to districts and to the Dowling College Education Centers and staff.

Take this opportunity to showcase your most innovative student and teacher work at the Twelfth Annual Celebration of Technology in Education, hosted by the Model Schools Program in partnership with Dowling College at the aircraft hanger of the Brookhaven Campus of Dowling College, May 11, 2012! This all day conference features over 600 students and teachers from Eastern Suffolk County. Please join us for this event and share your technology in the classroom best practices.

The focus of the Celebration is to provide "live" demonstrations of the instructional technologies that are being used on an everyday basis in local schools to enhance standards-based learning. This exhibition of "tried and true" projects at an interactive and casual venue allows attending educators, administrators, and guests to see how different applications are being integrated with curriculum, witness examples of their success, and learn first-hand from their colleagues just how easily they can make similar lessons happen in their own classrooms.
