Student Data Services is part of the Suffolk Regional Information
Center located at Eastern Suffolk BOCES. We provide services to all component
school districts in Suffolk County as well as two charter schools and
a number of non-public schools. Districts are offered high quality and
cost effective services that include test scoring, data warehousing, and
staff development.
The Test Scoring team scans all New York State assessments,
including the new grades 3-8 assessments and Regents Exams. The Test
Scoring Team provides reporting services to districts through the BOCES
Assessment Reporting Software (BARS), including new No Child Left Behind
(NCLB) and multi-year reports. Districts use this software locally to
export data, filter reports to disaggregate by subgroups, and compare
data.
