The Regional Information Center supports information and technology needs of school districts in Suffolk County. It is one of twelve (12) Regional Information Centers located throughout the State. Professional and cost-effective services include software training; installation, support, and maintenance for a variety of financial and student information systems; special education software support; test scoring; data warehouse and student data analysis; network design and management; Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) support; and microcomputer repair services. Our goal is to help districts use technology to make district management easier and more efficient.
Part 200 for Windows Management Services is a comprehensive software system designed to manage data associated with the special education process, including CSE meeting information, evaluations, placement recommendations, and goals and objectives. Included with the software are state compliance letters, a sample IEP template in Microsoft word and the added flexibility to create customized district letters and reports. Part 200 for Windows also offers electronic submission of Medicaid reimbursement, STAC data and state reporting.
Training is provided by members of the RIC Part 200 training team which includes content expertise as well as technical support, and is performed here at the RIC as well as on-site.
