The Office of Communications
offers an array of media and community relations services
in the areas of Graphic Art & Design, Public Relations and Web Development and
Design.
Graphic Art & Design services
provided by the office include graphic design, layout and formatting of marketing
and communications print materials. All print materials are produced with a level
of consistency, uniformity, professionalism and brand identity.

Media and Community Public Relations
services provided by the office are designed to promote the work of schools and
organizations to help shape a positive image in the media and the public at large,
as well as communicate important initiatives.
Services may include:
- Publicizing the achievements of students
and staff through the sharing of success stories and information affecting education
priorities and initiatives
- Assisting administration and faculty
in creating and implementing marketing and campaign strategies
- Responding to media inquiries
- Providing photography services at events
- Coordinating with the administration
to represent schools to the media during breaking news and in times of crisis
- Preparing Web site content
The Web Development and Design services provided by the office offer programs
and facilities customized online representation via the World Wide Web. Internally,
the office is responsible for the overall quality, design, functionality and usability
of the Eastern Suffolk BOCES Web site. The office is charged with policy recommendations,
setting procedures and establishing and maintaining guidelines intended to ensure
a common look, feel and uniform navigation systems among the numerous sub-sites
under the agency Web umbrella.
