Calling All Teachers & Students!
Imagine a huge gym filled with over 100 Internet connected PCs and MACs.
The computers are operated by technologically inspired teachers and
students. Talk to them. See their work. Ask them how they made it happen.
Next to them are the corporate contacts you need to make your district
come alive with learning enhanced technology.
Please join us for the Eighth Annual Celebration of Technology in
Education at the Stony Brook University Sports Complex on Friday,
January 11th, 2008. This event, hosted by the Model Schools Program,
is an all day conference featuring over 400 students and teachers from
Eastern Suffolk County who will share their "best practices" for using
technology in the classroom.
The focus of the occasion is to provide "live" demonstrations of the
instructional-technologies that are being used on an everyday basis
in local schools to enhance standards-based learning. This exhibition
of "tried and true" projects at an interactive and casual venue allows
attending educators, administrators, and guests to see how different
applications are being integrated with curriculum, witness examples
of their success, and learn first-hand from their colleagues just how
easily they can make similar lessons happen in their own classrooms.
Take this opportunity to showcase your most innovative student and teacher
work! Spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.
