The Star
The monthly Arts-In-Education Newsletter, The Star, features the Top Ten AIE programs for the month as well detailing the many programs taking place in each of your districts. It profiles one or more programs and events and then informs you of meetings and more.

School Year 2005/2006

  • June 2006 - This year's top ten Arts-In-Education programs are highlighted. Read about the second Annual SCALA Scholar Artists, the East End Arts Council's Teeny Awards, Recognition for William Floyd's Music Department, the showing of the LI Media Arts Show's Best In Show videos at First Exposure, and more.


  • May 2006 - Advocacy continues along with interesting articles from school districts and a report on Mind and Memory from the American Association of Museums conference.


  • April 2006 - Read about the Suffolk, Island-wide, and NYS Arts-In-Education events such as the LI Media Arts Show, Suffolk County Student Art Show, and Common Ground NYS Arts Conference.


  • March 2006 - We continue the series on grants. Read about the recent Student Dance Conference and the Afro-Peruvian Jazz Ensemble. Note the Save the Dates for future Arts-In-Education activities.
