The Arts-In-Education
& Exploratory Enrichment Online Program Catalogue
application is now open for the 2009-2010 school year.
The annual Arts-In-Education Program Guide includes a robust database
for schools to select programs by art form(s), as well as by curriculum
connection(s) and content areas. This document is available to participating
school districts in print form, CD, and online. This broad scope of information
enables district representatives to make educated choices about selecting
Arts-In-Education programs. All requested information must be submitted
online. We do not accept mailed or faxed applications.
Directions:
The Application and Program Description(s) must be completed online.
There are several parts to the application:
- Application: The first page is the
official application asking for contact info, names of references
and moral character questions. Once you complete and submit that
portion, there are directions for you to print it. Please print,
sign, and mail or fax to our office.
- Program Description(s): Please complete one (1)
Program Description form for each of your programs. If your programs
were in our system last year, you can access them on the Log-In
page, review, make changes or delete. There is also a button there
to open the form for New Programs.
- Be sure to include your Web
site and e-mail address as we hyperlink them to your email and Web
site both online and in the Program Guide CD (a resource to help schools
find additional information about you).
- Recent Letters of Recommendation
from schools, libraries or museums are required. If you have submitted letters in 2008-09,
you are not required to send letters this year only ; up-to-date Study
Guides for your programs are appreciated. Unless you can scan these
in (or have your study guide in electronic format) these should be
mailed to our office.
- Prices you quote must
be in effect for the entire 2009-2010 school year. You can not
charge districts higher fees during that time for the described program.
If you are considering giving discounts (at showcases, etc.), you
must send us a copy of the discount for our records.
- Carefully read and complete
the Program Description form and be sure to submit a separate Program
Description form for each program title.
- For those in the Program
Guide in 2008-2009, you will see these programs in your sign-in
page. Please review the previous description(s) and click on link
to keep the same, edit or delete as needed. For new programs, please
click on the ‘Add New Program’ button on the bottom of your sign-in
page.
- Our Program Guide includes
both Arts-In-Education programs and Exploratory Enrichment programs.
When completing the Program Description form, be sure to review the
NYS Learning Standards for the Arts.
- Applications are reviewed
by our Arts-In-Education Advisory Council for consideration for inclusion
in the 2009-2010 Program Guide. Submission of an application is not a guarantee of inclusion.
- New York State Law requires
that anyone working in a school district for more than 5 days must
be fingerprinted and background checked. Contact Kristin at SCOPE,
(631) 360-0800 x131, for more information.
If you have any questions,
please feel free to contact Diane
Bloxon or Carol
Brown.
If you do not please download and print a W9
form, sign it, include your email address, and fax it to 631-286-6991.
Once received we will process it and you will receive an email with
the link to the application process.
