Science teachers, grades 6-9, are invited to participate in River City, a National Science foundation-supported simulation environment for learning scientific inquiry and 21st century skills. River City is an interactive computer simulation of a river town, based in the late 1800’s, that combines digitalized Smithsonian artifacts with an inquiry centered curriculum to engage middle and high school students. |

The ESBOCES Model Schools Program and Atlantis Marine World have joined forces to provide teachers and students with a content rich experience that is expanded by the use of 21st century tools. Teachers will experience the Animal Adaptations class at Atlantis Marine World. After a brief discussion explaining natural selection an educator will guide you to exhibits to learn how different animals have evolved. The focus is on penguins, primates, sea turtles and sharks. |
